Gina and I have been busy in the studio the last few months creating art for the Humane Society’s 12th annual Art with Heart auction that will take place April 17th, 2021. The humane society is one of our favorite charities because both our dogs, Katie and Barney are rescue dogs. Gina created her piece titled “Love like your dog does,” from inspiration from our big dog Katie. It is a mixed media poured acrylic painting of Katie on canvas with hand embellishment . Carrie’s whimsical folk art piece, “Buster’s Starry Starry Night” is an impasto technique acrylic painting on canvas inspired by Vincent Van Gogh’s “Strarry Night.” Both of these unique pieces will be available only through this event.
