Rainbow Works Fine Arts LLC Paint Party

Feb 3rd we had a in studio Kindness Rocks rock painting party. It was a fun simple art event to reconnect with local friends. Everyone was given several large rocks to paint and express their own creative talents. I am happy to say we had some great laughs, excellent homemade chili, and by end of the class we had several fine works of acrylic art! The rocks painted will be distributed at local parks and other public areas. Valentines day will soon be here and we have been busy in the studio creating new fresh art. Art is a great way to say “I love you”…and not near as fattening, lol!

This month our studio focus will be on Ecaustic art. Recently I created two new photoencaustic paintings. Both pieces are now available for sale and on our website. Be sure to check out “Sunday” and “Summer Solstice.” If you are not familiar with Encaustic Photography it is actually an archival method that involves the application of layers of beeswax and Damar Resin upon a wooden panel.

Adobe Kiln Completion!

Happy to announce I finally completed the Adobe Kiln! I started this project back during the pandemic in 2020. This primitive fire pit will be used to fire earthenware pottery from wild clay we actually dig ourselves and hand process. It is made from clay we sourced from both Georgia and Alabama. …Stay tuned to find out if it actually works!
